What is Big Data?

According to TechTarget , Big Data is a term used to describe large volumes of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured/abstract data that has the potential to be processed as information that will be useful for machine learning projects and other advanced analytical applications.

According to Investopedia , Big Data is varied data with various formats that are collected in large quantities in a short period of time.

According to technology giant IBM , Big Data is a term given to a set of data that australia email list cannot be analyzed using traditional data analysis methods because they cannot store, process, and process data in a short time.

From these three sources, Big Data can be concluded as:

Large volume data (terabytes - exabytes) - Volume
Data structures have various variables (structured - abstract) - Variety
Accumulated in a short time (low latency) - Velocity
However, there are requirements that must be met to be able to call a set of data Big Data.

If any of the three points are not met, then the data set cannot be categorized as Big Data. For example, there is a data set that meets the volume & variety points but it takes 10 years to collect 1 terabyte of data. Why not analyze it before the data piles up?
