Vivatech 2023: Ivory Coast deploys around ten startups to attract investors from around the world

Ivory Coast will be present at the annual event dedicated to technological innovation and startups, called Vivatech. The information was announced this Thursday, June 1st, during a press conference in Abidjan-Plateau.

The Minister of Communication and Digital find your mobile number database , Amadou Coulibaly, and the Minister of Youth Promotion, Professional Integration and Civic Service, Mamadou Touré, hosted a press briefing to officially present the Ivorian startups that will be at the 2023 edition of Vivatech. This event, which will be held from June 14 to 17, 2023 in Paris, France, will bring together digital players. Overall, nearly 35 international pavilions with more than 550 startups are expected .

During the press briefing, Minister of Communication and Digital Economy Amadou Coulibaly emphasized that this is Côte d'Ivoire's first official participation in this event. According to Minister Amadou Coulibaly, the goal of supporting these startups is to promote them internationally in order to create an environment conducive to digital development.

The delegation's expectations
Minister Amadou Coulibaly revealed the expectations of the Ivorian delegation, made up of 12 startups and two incubators.

"We're going to this technology fair as conquerors. We're going to sell our startups and their technologies. We're going to show them that they're not alone and that a regulated legislative framework exists today to support them and empower them," declared Amadou Coulibaly, before discussing the potential of the selected startups.

"The startups that will be representing Côte d'Ivoire are the best in their field. I would like to point out that they have already won several awards here and even in the sub-region. So we believe this delegation will be able to attract financial partners," Amadou Coulibaly said.




Mamadou Touré, Minister of Youth Promotion, Professional Integration and Civic Service, stated that his ministry was willing to support startups in their development and that accompanying this delegation to Paris demonstrated the importance of the Year of Youth.

"In this year 2023, declared the Year of Youth, the Ivorian government aims to present initiatives to support and develop digital startups. This is the purpose of our participation in this global event," he said.
